Karobaar is a pro bono legal assistance initiative of the Centre for Business & Commercial Laws (‘CBCL’), National Law Institute University, Bhopal. Conceived and operated by students under academic guidance, Karobaar functions at the intersection of legal education and entrepreneurial reality.

At its core, Karobaar responds to a simple but persistent gap: the absence of accessible legal guidance at the earliest stages of business formation when decisions are foundational, resources are limited, and the cost of legal missteps is disproportionately high. Karobaar intervenes at this threshold, offering structured legal insight precisely where it is most consequential.

Importantly, Karobaar is a student-run initiative and does not provide legal advice. The platform does not substitute qualified legal counsel, nor does it issue opinions or recommendations of a professional nature. Instead, Karobaar facilitates legal research through its members and helps clients understand the relevant laws and compliances required. We encourage founders to make informed decisions independently.

Our Drive

Every enterprise begins long before incorporation, often as an idea negotiating uncertainty, collaboration, and risk. These early stages raise legal questions that are rarely complex in isolation, yet deeply significant in their consequences.

Karobaar exists to engage with these questions. It approaches law not as an obstacle to enterprise, but as its architecture we help with shaping relationships, defining responsibilities, and enabling sustainable growth. Through this initiative, students of business and commercial law apply doctrinal learning to real-world contexts, while ventures receive principled, context-aware legal guidance without financial burden.
